My New Friend...And We Wanna Tell You About a Challenge!

Hewwwow!  Finn here.  Now that I have had a full day to spend with Momma and Pops, I thought I would show you what they brought back for me.  Now, I did make them feel really really guilty about leaving me behind.  After jumping all over them when they came to get me from Lynne's house, I pouted.  I gave them the sad eyes.  But, we went for a long walk and Momma told me about where they went.  And then I came home and I got a new friend!

So, they were forgiven.

Isn't he cute?  Momma said she bought him for me in Amsterdam.  She said they had a really nice time there.  And apparently, they went in the middle of a heat wave, so now she is a lovely shade of pink!

Now, to the second part of my post.  Can you do this?

Remember Momma did a post a while back where I was sitting and she put the treats all around me like she saw my friend Gopher do.  Now Gopher is having a challenge for dogs who can command this much restraint without both killing the peep who is placing the treats down AND without eating them (the treats, that is).  If you think you've got the skillz, check out his post here and join in the challenge!

  1. That's a nice little friend you have there, Finn. We hope you don't unstuff him anytime soon. Heehee.
We would like to try the treat trick with Whisky but the cats would probably eat up the treats before Whisky does. LOL.

  2. No way could any of us do that except maybe Norbert, I doubt it though. You are talented

  3. I'll bet you have spectacular sad eyes, Finn!

We could NEVER do the treat outline in this house... Oliver "might" let us do it, but there are four other monsters who would happily eat the trail as we put it down!

  4. What a cute new friend you have, Finn! Bet you and he have lots of fun together.

No way, says Mom, could we ever do that great trick. She says she would go through about 100 lbs. of kibble before we would even make it around one paw - BOL.

  6. What a cute lion stuffie. I bet if he has a tag on him somewhere -- that would be the first thing I would chew off him!

  7. I love your new friend. Will you unstuff him, or do you just cuddle? That is a pawsome trick there, you are a very patient pooch to do that. Here's a belly rub for you for being so good.

  8. Hey Finn!
Wow, sounds like a great reunion with your peeps! I love your lion stuffie because his fur is so much like yours. Same colors! I'd still unstuffie him fur sure. BOL. I suppose my Mom will want to try this challenge, but I bet I just frustrate her! BOL

  12. That is pretty darn skillful and restrained of you Finn.

But tell the truth--would you be able to do it if they were hot dogs or cheesy snacks?

  13. What skill! Amazing. Hey Finn? How's that restraint coming on. I doubt my dogs are able to do that... but I bet they'd have a fighting chance on how fast they can gobble up treats.

Congratulations on successfully manipulating your parents, by the way.

  14. I guess this challenge must be just for dogs. MOL...MOL I can't imagine either of the boys letting HH put treats anywhere but in their mouths.

PeeS... I could never do that treat thingy around here... ERNIE would suck em up faster than a VACULA.

  18. I gave it a try with both boys and couldn't do it with them lying flat or even sitting. They (esp Jimmy) have a good "leave it" with one treat, but the whole outline thing made them crazy. Lying flat they thought I was going to kill them or something....I'll try again.... maybe.....

  33. Paw I love your friend - it puts me in mind of Me and My Kevin! - just don't let him swim about in your water bowel like Kevin does, or sneak into your pictures! Think I will do the treat thing, yer siree, we are all looking forward to practising that one! x

  37. Finn your mom was so sweet to think of you while she was on her trip and bring you back something! I do not know how you lay there with all those treats around you...Betty would barely let me get her started before she became the canine vacuum cleaner. Have a good weekend!

  38. Isn't that always the case?! I see something that's incredibly awesome and perfect in every way (i.e. Finn's new friend) and just when I make up my mind that I want one, too, I find out it's from some impossibly far away place that isn't easy to get to, which means I'll probably never get it. *SIGH*

I guess I'll just have to add Amsterdam to my list of Must-See places to visit, if only to find a lion as cute as that one!

  39. How cool that your peeps got to go to Amsterdam! Did they get to see the tulip fields? Very nice lion furiend they brought you back Finn :) Glad you had a good time playing with Brumby while they were away :)

    Waggin at ya,
    Roo
