First, I do believe we were awarded some honors this weekend while we had the sickies. I have lost track of the comments, but I would like to thank everyone for thinking of us and passing along the awards to us!
Here is our post for the day:
I don't know why I am finding Finn's adeptness at retrieving so funny, but I do.
These are some sweats I was wearing for jammies.
I left them on the bed when I went to work.
I came home from work and found them on the floor with her other toys.
This is a recurring phenomenon. Sometimes my jammie shirt winds up by the front door, sometimes on our sofa, etc. But not a day goes by where they don't find their way down the stairs and on the floor with the rest of her toys.
Oh Finn.
HH's former cat used to do that with tee shirts. He would pull them from the laundry basket and leave them all of the house. We are tidier pets than that.... But we have other endearing qualities.

Hi Finn OMC/OMDs it is so nice to meet you.
ReplyDeleteIt is good that you keep your peeps on their toes. If they complain tell them you are trying to enrich their lives with new and fun activities. MOL
Hugs from your new BFFF
Madi
Oh Finn, you are silly although Jammies are really comfy, I don't blame you for stealing them.
ReplyDeleteLove and Licks, Winnie
Finn, that's so sweet of you to bring down your Mommy's jammies everyday. So that way when she comes home from work she can change right into her jammies and then she can play and spend time with you! Great job Finn!
ReplyDeleteAh Finn was missing you. :)
ReplyDeleteJust showing how much she loves you:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Hey Finn!
ReplyDeleteWow, I think your retrieving skills are perfect! Obviously you are giving your Mom a smile with this. BTW: Great column in today's paper! Love your advice. :)
Grr and Woof,
Sarge, COP
It is definitely a comfort thing - she can smell you on them and it makes her feel safe :) It's also lots of fun to keep moving them
ReplyDeleteGood job Finn. A perfect way to keep Mommy's scent close to you while she's away. Plus we can only imagine how much she loves your doggie slobber on her jammies.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Lily Belle
Aww Finn probably loves your jammies because they smell like you!
ReplyDeleteDitto Betty above , it's a love thing.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
How adorable!
ReplyDeleteStewey
That's how you cuddle with Mom when she's away, right Finn?
ReplyDeleteTucker and Daisy
P.S. We were tied to the railing while waiting for our Mommy at the store, we are not that good.
I like Mommy's smell too! When she isn't with me, she always makes sure I have something that smells like her to keep my company!
ReplyDeleteDoggy Kisses
Tanner
Never a dull moment, right? BOL. Reminds me of Klepto Kitty in California, toting home things from the neighborhood including shoes, towels and even bras!!
ReplyDeleteWith Sam, it's my socks. He steals them and covets them - especially when I'm gone.
ReplyDeleteSam
Your jammies are the next best thing to having the real thing! She misses her Mommy!
ReplyDeleteYou just want to keep your Mom close to you, don't you Finn. That is a good idea.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Finn just wants more room on the bed for her:)))
ReplyDeleteFinn, we're so happy that you are continuing to get back to your old self!
ReplyDelete-Erik, Amanda, and Bosley
You like the comfort of the jammies huh Finn.
ReplyDeleteFinn, SO So glad you are in training, all the events are gonna be fun and a HOOT!!!!!, Sidebite has a list going, he will be checking for you entry, Heeheehee
ReplyDeleteSusie & Bites
That just shows how much she loves you and thinks of all parts of you as her prized possessions...even your jammies! :o)
ReplyDeleteNow Finn,,, being a retriever and stuffs... I would have said it is in you... "JEANS".. butt obviously it must be in your mom's Sweats too!!! BaaaWaaaah
ReplyDeleteFinn is just so lovable. Tutu now has a habit...a stinky one I must say...of playing with our socks. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteHi Finn, not sure why you don't see our posts. Do you use Google Reader?
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
She misses you.... Comfort stuff... you could leave a couple of cookies in the pockets next time.......
ReplyDeleteHope your feeling better Finn. Lots of Luvs
Lots of Luvs, Freya Rose Blossom X
Our goldens (aspen & Canyon) also like to bring our pyjamas into the living room or wherever they are waiting for us. I wonder if it is like a security blanket, Fin feels safer with your stuff by her side while she waits.
ReplyDeleteRogue, our one year old lab, likes to raid the washing machine when my husband is at work and by the time he arrives home, she has all of his socks, boxers and t-shirts spread out in the living room for him to see. I tend not to clean it up because he thinks it's cute so I want him to see how much she has missed him :)
So glad Finn is feeling better. At least he did not eat the jammies, thats what Norbert would have done
ReplyDeleteurban hounds
That is just too cute! We think Finn likes having Mama's scent close to her while she's napping in her bed.:)
ReplyDeleteLove,
Teddy Bear & Sierra
Can you ask him to retrieve a nice steak bone for me!!! THanks pal!
ReplyDeleteI used to take my mom's shoes and hide them. Good times!
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
Interesting.... interesting....
ReplyDeleteHaaa!
Happy Wednesday!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
Finn....
ReplyDeleteShe likes the smell of her owner!! ;op
Love, Raelyn.... And Rose, my BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE "Mystery Dog"!!
yep. if i could drag all the peeps clothes, i would do it too. we miss you when you're away, that's all. the smell of our peeps makes us feel more comfortable - less stressed. just be glad Finn hasn't retrieved the panties....BOL...now that would be embarassing!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your awards, and nice to meet you :-)
ReplyDeleteShelby loves to drag my socks all over. I've bought more socks then I can remember the past year.
I am heading over there to have a sniff about your pawticulars, you obviously smell greeeeeeaaaat! x
ReplyDeleteI think that's very sweet--especially if there's no chewing going on!
ReplyDeleteFinn was probably planning to do the laundry (awww, how lady-like of her)... Unfortunately she came to a stop and totally forgot about it while playing with her toys.
ReplyDeleteHuggies and Cheese,
Haopee
I can so relate to this, and it certainly is one of the unsolved mysteries, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThis is love. Thor used to do that with socks.
ReplyDeleteThor and Jack
Those are some stellar retrieving skill, Finn! My Wuppy likes to 'keep track' of my coat in much the same way. :)
ReplyDeleteFinn likes having something of her Mommy near her all the time! She loves you to bits!
ReplyDeleteBig Nose Pokes
The Thugletsx
aww, this is so sweet. finn wants mommy to be nearby, even if it is only her jammies.
ReplyDeletewags.
OMG! Fred steals my pajamas everyday too! And I am home! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome! Duncan does something similar where he gathers our socks and takes them into his kennel, where he buries them under the blankets and pillows. That way they're not easily spotted and we don't notice. I like to think he does it so that he can sniff us while we're away, like you've probably sniffed your husband's shirt after he's worn it. It makes me smile.
