Some of you asked in my last Operation Phat post what this was referring to. See, Finn's vet told us she was a tad chunky and so we needed to give her more exercise and less treats. Since I am not going to call Finn "fat" we decided to call her "phat." 'Cause she's so cool!
So, when last
we were walking we decided to stay to the left. Well, we went to check out the right one day...
|
Here is the infamous intersection.
Last time, we went to the left. Here, we are heading to the right. |
|
Just a lot of woods! |
|
And another intersection!
We decided to head to the right again. |
|
Where are we??? |
We walked on for a good bit, walking in circles essentially! It's nice to have a group of trails so close by! And on the way in from our little escapade, we saw two deer, who ran from us fast, so we didn't get a picture of them. And when we got home, we checked ourselves for ticks. We've been back in these woods a couple of times now and she seems to love it! Operation Phat continues!
My sissy and brudder be on life long diets...mum says sissy is "voluptious" cuz da word fat be banned from our house.
ReplyDeleteDat looks like such a nice place to walk, I wish we had a place likes dat...sigh.
Puddles
Oh poor you Finn ........ we are on a low phat diet too. Only until the squirrel season starts and then we run so much we can eat what we like. Have a fabulous Friday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Oh, I don't like diets....that means less food....not good!
ReplyDeleteGlad you didn't run into those scary dirt-bike drivers again on the mystery trail. I think all vets are supposed to say all doggies are chunky -- it's their job.
ReplyDeleteI bet Finn is having a great time exploring and doesn't even know she is exercising!
ReplyDeleteYuck, diets! Why is everybuddy on a diet? Your walking trails look like fun, though. Next time I think you should do "left right left" on all your intersection choices.
ReplyDeleteYou don't look Phat to us but all that walking is so good for all of you and probably fun back there in the woods. Good luck with the darn diet. Take care.

ReplyDeleteFinn, I just called you a chunky babe thinking that was nicer than phat...I Googled it afterwards...not good!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy those hiking trails!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!
Stewey
Finn you must have taken... the Path Less Traveled. hehehehe
ReplyDeleteLike the Ram said to the Ewes...
Ewes not FAT... Ewes just FLUFFY.
Finn....
ReplyDelete"Phat".... As in Pretty Hot And Tempting? Well.... You already qualifed as being Phat, Finn!! Hee, hee, hee.... ;op
Love, Raelyn.... And Rose, my BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE "Mystery Dog"!!
Oh Finn you are beautiful - but exploring that wood sounds fun and will keep you fit (or is that phit?) :-) Have a great weekend - woofs and licks from Magic xx
ReplyDeleteOur boys have gotten a little chunky too - I think mainly from not getting much exercise during the summer.
ReplyDeleteSam
Those are such nice paths to walk. A nice shaded, cool wooded area...well, except for the ticks, that is.
ReplyDeleteI knew Finn was Phat all along. She is a very cool dog and I do not see why someone would use the word fat to describe Finn. I think I would love to take a Phat stroll in your woods. They look like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
Mom has us on the dreaded Phat diet too - our vet called Dweeb #2 "Hefty" It sure looks like you found a great place to run off some of that Phat though :)
ReplyDeleteI've had to cut out ice cream. Too much walking and too much ice cream. They told me I can keep the walking
ReplyDeleteluvs Freya Rose Blossom X
Great name for a diet/exercise plan! Definitely makes it seem cool!
ReplyDeleteFinn I think you and I must have the same V.E.T. At my yearly check up in July my V.E.T. said the D word....if I had not been in my carrier I would have had his finger for a snack.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking,Dang Dr. S they are already starving me and you want them to cut back some more? All because I gained .2 oz since last year.
Hugs Madi your BFFF
Vets are all starting to say the dreaded D word- what do they have against us? Just because we need to nap a lot and snack a lot, and walk alot!
ReplyDeleteWHAT! We all on a diet or what around here.... What's up with that? I thought winter was when we should be hibernating and storing up food. Think it's because our summer here in NY has been so hot we can't do too much. So crud.... DIET!!!! Let's start a protest and say YUCK to green beans in our kibble.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Lily Belle
Those look like some good trails! Yes, it is good to stay fit and trim. Good luck, we are keeping our paws crossed!
ReplyDeleteYour friends,
Murphy & Stanley
Those trails look like lovely places for walks. Nice and shady, green and gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI love that - Operation Phat instead of Fat. You should just tell the vet that more weight means more of Finn to love and go around!
ReplyDeleteThat's a really pretty trail! There's one near my house that I take the boys to now and again, but it looks nothing like that. There aren't any woods there.
You are totally PHAT Finn. **whistles** So what did you do when you saw the deer Finn?? I saw a real live cat once and broke my leash running AWAY from it!
ReplyDeleteKitty+Coco
Cool trails!
ReplyDeleteNola
After all these walks, soon you won't be Phat anymore you will be back to being Phinn hehehe. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteMy assistant and I both need to join Operation Phat!
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
Those woods look awesome! Walking in interesting places is definitely the most fun way to get exercise. Good luck with Operation Phat!
ReplyDeleteyour pal,
Garth
Shhh, it's not exercise if you're having fun in the woods walking all the paths! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like my kind of place. I bet there are squirrels!
ReplyDeleteWyatt
Finn, you no looks phat to me!!:)
ReplyDeleteYour walkies sure look like lots of fun
Cotton
Beautiful place to walk. We think walking is the BEST way to lose some phat....then you can eat more treats.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Finn, you are beautiful just the way you are. Good luck on your mission, staying healthy is the most impawtant thing.
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
Hmmm, how does that one poem go? "As I was sniffing through the woods one snowy night, upon two paths I did come, I peed on a tree, then went many miles before doing sleepings."
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's how it goes!
Love,
Reuben
You sure have some nice trails. Finn is a lucky dog, (except for the treat cutback).
ReplyDeleteWe love to walk in the woods too. You have to watch for ticks, but you get the benefit of the cooler shade.
That is the neatest secret trail you've found! So many crossroads. Fun! And you saw deer? Cool! :)
ReplyDeleteWaggin at ya,
Roo
