My job has me traveling to various parts of the city to present our outreach programs.
In July, I went to Staten Island, and from the bridge, I could look back on downtown Manhattan, where most of the sites I take you to are located.
The NYC skyline is in the distance in this photo. The tall buildings on the left of the skyline is the new World Trade Center (It's directly in the middle of this photograph).
The rusted old bridge is in the foreground. I try not to think about that.
And in between in Brooklyn.
It's the same skyline that I showed you in my last post - I get to walk out of the skyline and look at it when I go out for lunch.
Once my husband asked me if I could see the skyline from my office window.

The thing my peeps like about "back east" is all the history, buildings, and culture. But we're not city dwelling type of critters so we only visit. Have a great Sunday!

Mom visited NYC for her high school graduation trip.....about 87 million years ago...like in 1966. She says she'd love to go back again some day to see if she remembers any part of it.

That's my city! Good to see it again. We stopped through for a few hours on our long trip back from Switzerland the other day and I had a powerful blast from my childhood for a moment sitting in a pizza joint. Don't know if I could live there anymore but I sure love to visit.

Thanks for the photos. My mum visited New York in 1984. She loved looking at the tall buildings (and going up the really tall ones like the World Trade Tower) as she is from New Zealand where there are not many peope and the buildings are really short!
