Our next door neighbor likes to provide a cat with some food and water.
Finn sniffs around waiting for that cat to show up...
Because when we go for a walk outside and we see this...
...it turns into a shoot-out showdown, and I have to say, Finn is a wimp. The cat hisses, Finn jumps away, and then she goes back inside looking for the cat through the fence again.
It's a vicious cycle. If she knows the cat is going to hiss at her, why does she jump? And then go back to looking for it? Oh Finn...
hey Finn,
ReplyDeleteDon't let a stinky kitty-cat startle you! You are much braver than that! Unless, of course, it is a Ninja Cat, then I agree you should be very cautious. Ninja Cats are pretty scary creatures, and very unpredictable!
I like your strategy. Fake-outs always keep kitty-cat on edge. :->

Hahaha! That's super adorable. The cat probably sits there on purpose just to annoy Finn.
ReplyDeleteBOL Finn. We also have some cats loitering around our neighbourhood. Mommy has to radar 50 yards radius whenever I go on walkie cos' some of the cats can't be bothered with a dog, while some like to shadow me on tiptoe. Can't be sure if they're a foe or friend.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, you should give the cat a good growl one of these days just to scare her hehe

Oh Finn - you are lucky that cat is next door - we have 2 cats living with us. They have their food and water in the outhouse because otherwise we would eat it all - the cats like to have a teeny bit and then go back and have a bit more. We think if food's there eat it till it's all gone. Watch out for that cat's claws though - cats can be mean when they get cross - love from Magic xx
ReplyDeleteBOL! Finn, danger is addictive eh? ;) Make sure you stay on your side of the fence. No need to get claw swipes across that pretty nose of yours :)
ReplyDeleteWaggin at ya,
Roo
Silly Finn....lol. Gotta watch out for those cats.
ReplyDeletethe 2 brown dawgs
It seems to me that maybe Finn wants to be friends with the kitty and is just hoping maybe it will stop hissing and be her friend. Our cats here love the dogs and visa versa. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteWhat silly cat teasing you, Finn!
ReplyDeleteThor and Jack
Oh Finn, you are so silly!
ReplyDeleteBe careful around them kitties, sometimes they can scratch your eyes out:)
She's just holding out hope that kitty wants to play

We have a kittie that comes into our yard sometimes when I am playing. Mommy and daddy won't let me play with it though. It seems to be a stray!!! You are lucky, Finn. That fence lets you stay and play.
ReplyDeletePuppy Kisses,
Tanner
Howdy Finn. Only one thing to do. Ask that cat if he wants to play chasey. Our cat loves it hehehe. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteKitty hide and seek is soooo very tempting to play. Having kitties here, we know they make their own rules and like to change them too.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that Shiver would do the same thing. It's so funny because he's a big chi and yet, he's scared of everything. Chico is a little bitty chi and he's not scared of anything.
ReplyDeleteThat's a funny game :)
ReplyDeleteCats are so predictable and silly....BOL
Wyatt and Stanzie
We go a bit CRAZY when our neighbors cats choose to hang out on our turf!!! Chloe...left to her own devices will CHASE that cat all the way home!! If that cat ever turned around and raised his claw...not sure what she'd do!!!
ReplyDeleteHang in there Finn...one day you will be brave!
For Finn it is probably a game. Our dogs sometimes like to be a bit mean and chase or kitties and our kitties, in my opinion, like to tease a bit.
ReplyDeleteThat's a golden for you! Always hoping for a new friend, always surprised when the new friend doesn't want to be!
ReplyDeleteSam
Good luck, my friend! Cats are very sneaky!!! BOL!!!
ReplyDeleteThe dogs will only approach a cat when it is in the yard or on their fence. If it gets behind the fence or they see one on their walks they are the biggest wimps alive.
ReplyDeleteOur neighbour also has a kitten, who often sneaks into our property. I wonder what she is always doing there.
ReplyDeleteCats are tough! Be careful Finn!
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
Well I can explain that cats are scary even when they wants to be friends, but they are very entertaining creatures too. I loves to watch my cats and I even plays with Arty, but when she gets to rough I has to go outside to get away from her. ~Fenris
