Toys

Before we get started today, I would like to thank Stewey Unscene for my award!  Thank you.  We love seeing what Stewey is wearing and we are jealous of his very hip outfits.

We have gotten the award four times!!  We are so honored that other doggie bloggies enjoy reading about our outings!

On to the post!  One day, I was taking pictures of Finn playing with a new toy

And I realized that Finn only plays with her toys down on our first floor.  I thought I would do a little experiment.  I took one of Finn's favorite toys and brought it upstairs and made it known that I would be spending a little time up there...turned on some lights, turned on the upstairs tv, that kind of thing.

I waited to see what would happen....

She came up, got the toy, and brought it back downstairs.

Ever wonder what they are thinking???

It's not like I ever reprimanded her for playing upstairs...

Oh Finn...

  1. How cute! Maybe she got tired of having to retrieve her toys that fell downstairs? Whisky only plays with her toy Elephant in the bedroom. If we take it to another room, she'll bring it right back into the bedroom. :)

  2. Very interesting! Not sure what to say. Thankfully our house only has one floor, or Mommy would probably want us to try that experiment too!

  3. Silly doggies. I think they get in a habit and that is that. But does Finn ever try to take her toys outside?

  4. Wouldn't it be great if peeps knew what we were thinking? Very cute story. We don't get to go upstairs so we can't help you out on this one:)

  8. That's very adorable. Seems the downstairs is her safe, happy spot and she wants to have all her comforting objects there. We all have our habits, I guess dogs are no exception!

  9. What a silly girl! Perhaps she thinks her toys are afraid of heights.

  12. Lovely to meet you. I followed the link on Srewey Unscene's blog.

I never go upstairs. I don't know why, I've just never tried it since I cam to live here in 2010. I LOVE my toys, but I don't think even one of them could lure me up there. Must have been something from a previous life I think.

Love and licks, Winnie the Greyhound.

  13. Congrats on your Award Finn!

I thinks maybe you prefers all your toys in one spot. I myself prefer them all in one spot so that I can keeps my eyes on them! You never can completely trust those darn stuffies!

  14. That is funny. I learned a long time ago not to try to "figure out" why pets do some things, because it could make you crazy. I'm sure she has a good reason for what she does, though!

  15. Yes, they are such creatures of habit. My little Sugar Plum will only play with her toys on the carpet, not the hardwood floors. She also has "outside" toys and "inside" toys and she determines which are which and truly, she does not mix them up. So darn funny.

  19. Congrats on the award!

Dogs are so funny sometimes! My mom and I were just talking about this last night. She was telling me that my dad's beagle (well, I guess it's hers now) tries to hide his toys but he doesn't do a very good job of it. Plus, he's the only dog there so who is he hiding it from? bol
