Dahlias, Camellias, and Rhodies, Oh My!

Last call for flower pics!  Get them in to Momma at
marianne(dot)d(dot)howard(at)gmail(dot)com before Sunday!

And this is what we call hurricane prep:

  1. Ohhh the flowers are lovely!

Be careful now if you is in that hurricane area!

    woos, Tessa

  2. Hey Finn!
Wow, great bloomin' pix! I'm glad I already got mine in and I can't wait to see your flower show during the Back to School Bash! Thanks for hosting this.
    Grr and Woof,
    Sarge, COP

  3. Hopefully the hurricane lightly breezes past you. My first golden, Camry, used to tremble during a storm, and lay on my head while we were sleeping if storm hit at night! Penny was pretty oblivious, in contrast.
I actually was thinking about Finn this morning, that this would be her first winter walking in the snow (i know, its crazy bc hot out!!) I wanted to remind myself to tell you that the red goldens, with their thinner coat than conformational goldens, have less protection from the snow and cold. Icy snow nuggets get formed in the paw pad, and can be bothersome. Try to warm them up with your hand, as they can get stuck to the fur and hurt to pull out. Finn may even need a fleecy coat for real cold days! Whew, glad I got that off my mind! Now back to summer! (yeah, i know, I miss my golden and need's been suggested to us, but just not ready yet. In the meantime, I'm enjoying Finn and the other pups in blogland..BOL! Keep us updated with the storm!!

    Be Safe,

  4. Finn those Blossoms are BLOOMIN BEAUTIFUL!! I am REALLY lookin forward to the Flower Show and I HOPE that TONS of Pics have already Arrived and that EVEN MORE come in... It will be more Beautiful than the Rose Parade!!

Boondocks & The Love Shack Pack

  6. Glad you didn't have any trouble from the earthquake. Our Daddy is in New Jersey and he felt the earth move. He called Mommy all excited to tell her bout it.

Hope the Hurricane doesn't come your way, we don't like those things here. Socks tells us about Hurricane Katrina and scares us silly.

Looking forward to the flower show.~AFSS

  7. Beautiful pictures. Bailey and Katy are not quite as relaxed. We have had unrelated thunder storms leading up to the hurricane.

  8. You look totally prepared for anything, especially a nap! Have a great one and stay safe.

    Puppy Kisses,

  9. Thanks for visiting my blog! I read a couple of your posts, and want to read more. Mommy pretty much screamed at the frog in the umbrella. Mommy has to move our umbrella tonight because of the Hurricane -- I bet she will look extra close to see if a frog is in there. Hopefully your frog found a better home.

  10. I hope the hurricane doesn't cause too much damage. It must be really scary. Stay safe, Finn and family!

  11. Is the Flower Show suppose to have me in the photo or just my flowers? Oh I am so confused.
    Sweet William The Scot

  12. Mama is from NJ and still has family and friends there so she is keeping an eye on Irene too...

We just sent our flower pictures!! Thanks for hosting!!

    Dory, Jakey and Bilbo

  13. Hurricane or no hurricane, nap time is very important.

  14. You sure have a green paw, Finn! Look at all those purty flowers!
Be safe, paws crossed for that bad Irene to go away!
