I wanted to share our experiences with Finn's new toy. I bought this IQube after some of you fine folks suggested Finn's brain needed a little stimulating while we were at work. My one concern about buying it was that some of the reviewers said it was too easy for their dogs, but I figured we'd give it a try...
We introduced Finn to the game, showed her each ball, that they all squeaked and that we were putting them in the cube. We did this about three times.
So, at first, Finn just brought it around from room to room.
Then she gnawed at the openings where she was supposed to be
digging for the squeaky balls.
Then she tried to push the balls out of the slots instead of trying to pull them out.
Then she almost gave up.
Then at last, a small victory! One of the balls is out. I can't really foresee Finn ever trying to get the other balls free while she can squeak and play with one. I even started to hide the one ball she got out so she would go dig for the others, but she caught on to me. She loves the munching and the digging in something new though and she hasn't destroyed it yet, so everyone is pleased!
Oh Finn that looks like a fun toy - poor sweet Freddie would have just given up but Haylie would love this - im just afraid she would rip it to shreds.ReplyDelete

Grr and Woof,
That's such a fun toy! But, how long will it be able to withstand the chewing and gnawing from you?ReplyDelete
KUDZU would LOVE such a thing... he's all into figuring out how things work. Me?? I'd chew it for two minutes and then go find something else to do. Yep, that's how I roll over.ReplyDelete
Boondocks and The Love Shack Pack
We've got one of those - Sam get's the balls out and Monty steals them. It helped develop teamwork between the two!ReplyDelete

Oh boy, toys for the thinking dog! I probably would have just torn it apart to get to the prize!ReplyDelete
That looks like a fun toy sweet Finn. Hugs and nose kissesReplyDelete
Nice work, Finn!ReplyDelete
Your pal, Pip
If it squeaks then it must be good to chew.ReplyDelete
Sounds like a real hit! Enjoy your mental stimulations Finn! :)ReplyDelete
Waggin at ya,
We love our IQube! I think the funnest part is destroying the little balls inside!ReplyDelete
Finn it looks like that toy wore you out.ReplyDelete
Hi Young FinnReplyDelete
Soggibottom Cottage thinks you are one well love dog :-) x x x luvs from Freya too X
Bella LOVES this toy. I, on the other hand, a bit less so. She's gotten so good at getting them out, that it takes me longer to put it back together than it takes her to pull it apart. I think she thinks that's the point. :]ReplyDelete
I'm glad Finn likes it. :)
Looks like she did very well with it! Not all dogs love toys that have no tasty aspect--you must be very proud of her :)ReplyDelete
How cute!!! Looks like she did quite well with this new toy! At least it is something new that will keep her amused! xoxo Chloe and LadyBugReplyDelete
Finn, what a cute toy. Glad to hear you didn't destroy the toy yet! Give it time, I'm sure you will destroy it in no time!ReplyDelete
