Longest Operation Phat Yet!

We took Finn to Brookhaven State Park, where we have had varied success in the past.
Hubby convinced me that instead of doing the usual BLUE
1.7 mile trail with Finn, we should up it to the RED 3.7 mile trail.

Well, it seemed as good of a time as any, so off we went.

Sometimes you gotta just follow the tail!

Can you see that in the middle??

A deer!  We saw quite a few, here are some tracks.

3.7 miles of nice woods.

C'mon slowpokes!

What?  Is someone trying to pour me some water here?
I am trained to look at the camera!

Little father/daughter time during a rest.

She did really well!  We knew she was getting a little tired towards the
end, but I am glad we decided to up the walking length!

  2. That's a good hike! In Sam's younger days, we used to take him on long hikes. The only thing that stopped us was if the terrain was too hard - here in AZ we are known for some wicked hiking trails!

  14. I lol with that photo caption of Finn looking at the camera, hehe. How do you train her so well to always look at the camera. I want to learn that trick.

Come grab a DIVA badge from our bloggie for Finn, she definitely deserves it, esp after all that walk.

  20. Well done, Finn. And it was a good idea to keep your Dad on the lead so he wouldn't go haring off after that deer.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

We don't think we could have walked that far.

  23. Finn....
    I'm baaack!! I haven't any clue as to where I went--life's busy goings-on's took me away--but I'm back!! ;-}
When I enlarged the picture of that deer, I felt as though I was there!! Literally!! Suddenly I was both in awe at this sight, and quiet as to not frighten "her" away!! Silly me!! ;op
Love, Raelyn.... And Rose, my BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE "Mystery Dog"!!
