Hewwwow! Finnackles here.
There seems to be a bit of confusion out there about my sex.
There seems to be a bit of confusion out there about my sex.
I guess you normally think of Finn being a boy cause you know...
Tori Spelling had a baby boy last month and named him Finn.
And there's a famous boy Finn.
And there's this famous boy Finn.
But see, I'm a GIRL. And when people call me a "he" and stuffs, I try not to get upset, but sometimes it hurts my feelings. :( Momma said when she picked me up and Pops asked her what they should name me, she immediately blurted out "Finn." She didn't think there would be so much confusion! So please call me a girl from now on, ok?
Ok, we hope we have not made the mistake. Our mom tends to think of all dogs as hes since she has so many boys. Huckleberry Finn is one of her favorite books and Finn seems like a boy or girl name to us
ReplyDeleteurban hounds
Heheh, sometimes peoples thinks I'm a girl, I guess Cotton's a name for both genders... But I don't get upset :)
ReplyDeleteYou're one cool Finn! Totally Girly ;)
Cotton
Rooina says hi girlfriend ;P
ReplyDeleteWaggin at ya,
Roo
We have the same problem Finn. Everyone thinks Ande is a boy but she is a girl and named after the town where we live, Anderson. We know that you are a girl. Have a great week end.
ReplyDeleteOh I hope I have not done that. Don't think I have. But I do understand. Strange as it seems but I actually get called HER often. Not her in Blogville so much but when I meet people around where I live Have a wonderful Saturday you beautiful beautiful girl.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
Hey TO MY BGIRLFRIEND FOREVER! Mom's first name is OFTEN misspelled so she understands.
ReplyDeleteFINN is purrfect name for you it fits your golden personality to a T
Has your mom's new pendant arrived yet? Mom took her Madi pendant on vacay to keep me close to her heart and folks loved it
Hugs
Madi your BFFF
Finn I'm sorry that happens to you. People often get confused when names can be boy and girl names. Bailey gets that all the time, too. People always think he's a girl because there are so many famous girl Bailey's. Bailey was the name his first family gave him and when we rescued him he was already answering to it. We really didn't know the name would be an issue and with so many other big changes in his and ours we weren't comfortable changing it since he already answered and responded to his name.
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just have to be patient with people. I know most of the people that get Bailey's gender confused don't mean to hurt his feelings.
Oh dear Finn,
ReplyDeleteMy friend has a Finn and he's a boy,
but I know you are a girl and I love your name and you are a beautiful girl :-)
I know that you are one beautiful girl!
ReplyDeleteLovies, Miss Mindy
Have a super Saturday Finn GIRL-FRIEND.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
We thinks you are a beautiful girl Finn. And even though your name sounds like our Fen's we do know the difference. Poor Artemisia has the same problem, since the people usually use her nickname Arty Mouse lots of people refer to her as a he instead of a she.
ReplyDeleteHey GIRLfriend! Hee hee. We always thought Finn was a girl's name. :)
ReplyDeletePeople often mistake ME for a boy too. So Mommy left my fur long hoping that would give out the hint that I'm a girl but NOOOOOOO. Hahaha.
Your Girlfriend, Whisky
We love the name FINN and always think of you in the most feminine of terms. Our last name gets mispronounced a lot and we giggle and have made a list of all the silly pronunciations. No worries, beautiful!!
ReplyDelete-Bart and Ruby
I know exactly what you mean!!! Because I am a BIG girl (75 lbs) when mum and I meet new people they always assume I am a boy. You know what they say about "assume" -- makes an ass out of u and me!!!!! rofl. Anyway -- my mum always corrects people by saying that I am a GIRL!!!!! Keep the faith gorgeous
ReplyDeleteLuv
Cody
Not to worry sweet Finn, I know you are a girl and I always have. You are just to beautiful to be a boy.
ReplyDeleteLove
Bert
We had the same problem with our girl, Cisco. Mom didn't realize it was more a male name when she picked it, but had to go through all of Cisco's life with people thinking she was a boy, or even worse, spelling it CRISCO!
ReplyDeleteSam :D
We know your a girl Finn and I love the name Finn for a girl. You have made it beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteToe licks.
ReplyDeleteLuv,
Ranger
Finn,
ReplyDeleteYou is too beOOtiful to be a boy!
Woofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae and Max
We get it Finn! People think Stanzie is a boy too, but her real name is Constanza :D
ReplyDeleteWyatt
Woof! Woof! I know you r a girl, FINN. I have the same issue. Many assumed I am a boy ... to pretty for a boy but I am a GIRLly dog just you are. Happy Blog HOP Saturday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteOh no! I'm so sorry if I have called you a boy before...I can't remember, but I sorry! I totally understand, cause everyone and their dog refers to me as a girl! I just roll my eyes! You are the prettiest girl ever!
ReplyDeleteWe figured out you were a girl, but at first we did think you might be a boy. Because we have a friend with a male collie named Finn. Our boy Ryder is often mistaken for a girl.
ReplyDeleteBut you are definitely a beautiful girl!
Aww - you are always a girl (a very pretty girl) to me!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend, Finn!
Stewey
People are always calling Baily and Mesa boys too. It makes me sad :(
ReplyDeleteStop on by for a visit

Finn (The GIRL!!)
ReplyDeleteDude, I am waaay behind on this Blog!! I wonder what happened.... ? ;-}
I feel your frustration, GIRL. Everybody almost always referred to my first mutt, Shadow as "he", or "him". I would correct them, until finally giving up. It was no use!! Sigh....
Anyway. May I make a confession, please? I thought--for the longest time!!--that you were a boy. Until I learned!! Now, I try very, very hard in remembering!! However. In my own defense I do suffer from premature short-term memory loss. So I may occasionally forget.... ;op
Love, Raelyn.... And Rose, my BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE "Mystery Dog"!!
Okay, we understand. SHE has a traditional boy's name spelled differently, but SHE is always having to explain.
ReplyDeleteWe love ya Finn....at first we thought you were a boy, but all the feminine pronouns put us right.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Bella and I, Daisy, always get called 'Jock' on the street.
Howdy Finn, we know you are a girl sweetie pie. Once someone thought Rory was a girlie hehehe. See ya soon. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteYou are a beautiful girl, Finn!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
We knew you were a girl so we hope we never called you a boy! So many people think I, Murphy, am a girl! Mom says it is because I am so gentle natured that they assume I am a girl. So I know how you feel!
ReplyDeleteYour friends,
Murphy & Stanley
Oh no, sorry if we have made that mistake! I personally LOVE the name Finn (and yes said I would use it for a boy's name if I ever had a son) but I also like names that crossover. We have a Golden named Piper everyone thinks is a girl...but HE'S not!
ReplyDeleteI get called a boy sometimes too! Odd, considering Nola sounds pretty girly. I'm also confused ALL THE TIME that my name is Lola
ReplyDeleteNola
We think we were confused in the beginning too and are so sorry if we thought you were a boy. We never forget now that you are a girl and a very pretty one too.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
I understand completely. Casey is a name that can go either way, but lately there are more girls than boys with it. I get asked if I'm a girl ALL the time, and it's so annoying! Don't worry, I always know you're a grrl.
ReplyDeleteOur apologies if we have accidentally made that mistake!! You know, right now we have a BOY named Sandy who has that same thing happen to him--And we've had GIRLS named Rudi, Reggie and Charlie and people even thought our boy Scout was a girl. So we know how those things can happen--I do like the name Finn, and think it fits you perfectly!
ReplyDeleteI think I might have been unclear on the fact...not really sure. I'm glad you cleared it up! Finn is a cute girl name ^^
ReplyDeleteYou is a beautiful ladydog, Finnie <3
ReplyDeleteLove,
Reuben
At first we did fink you waz a boy, Sorry Finn but reading through lots of posts, Wez knew youz was a bootiful girl :) xx00xx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
Aw shame Finn...sorry about the confusion. Somehow we picked up from your posts that you are a girl. Hope everyone gets it right from now on.
ReplyDeletelicks & love
Wally & Sammy
That's funny! Hopefully I haven't made a mistake, but I am pretty sure I've always treated you as a lady :-)
ReplyDeleteWe know you are a girl, even if we might write it different from time to time. Our humans, (well one human) calls us the wrong thing all.of.the.time. She has issues...lol.
ReplyDeletethe brown dawgs
Well I always knew you were a girl, because boys are not as pretty as you are.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend,
Sweet William The Scot
Oh - I apologize in case I've ever referred to you as a boy. I know how frustrating that is as Blueberry often gets mistaken for a boy too. Finn is a girl. Got it! Sorry! :)
ReplyDeleteFinn, we know how you feel about people calling you by the wrong gender. It's really ruff for me too since my nickname is Lassie -- and Lassie is a girl's name. I feel your pain. Hang in there girl.
ReplyDeleteHi Finn, you look like a girl, sadly so do I and I always get called a girl when I'm out walkies with Mum, it may be because I'm just too cute to be a boy but I feel you buddy, Im glad you stopped all the confusion there, see you over at your new blog address and you are so very welcome for the nomination at Molly's, you are an interesting charecter little finnackles and even tho Mum is was lazy on comments right now, we both still read your blog and visit you! Love, Licks and Hugs from your Furiend Frank XxxxX
